This week over at A.R.T. the challenge is to make something with a School Theme! I make these accordian cards every year to sell in my craft group's Christmas shop, so this was a good opportunity to get started early. First, I made a base with a strip of red cardstock and scored it in three places so it would fold up. The papers are from Kaisercraft's Class Act paper pad and the tape measure on "page 1" is out of a Christmas cracker (I KNEW that would come in handy one day!!) The globe on the same page was made by die cutting black cardstock with a Retro Globe and Stand die by Fancy That and attaching it to blue cardstock cut out with a 2" circle punch. The stick-on elements on "pages 2 & 4" are from a pack of Dress It Up buttons called Pencil Box and the "Journal" on "page3" is actually a rub-on on acetate, cut out and added with foam tape. The letters of the word "Teacher" were stamped with red ink onto white cardstock, cut out and layered onto red cardstock. The sentiment across the top was simply written by hand with a black pen onto white paper and cut out with deckle edge scissors. So, that's my "school theme" entry for A.R.T. - a random Thursday card challenge.......certainly not my usual style!!
Thanks so much for visiting!
