A Baby is a Blessing

The challenge at Timeless Tuesday this week is to use paper piecing.  I don't use this technique very often, but it is fun and gives a very different look from straight colouring.  I started this card with white cardstock.  I punched one side with a Martha Stewart border punch and embossed the rest with a Sizzix embossing folder, then layered this onto pink cardstock.  I wrapped pink spot ribbon around  it and added a bow.  Then I stamped the sentiment from Flourishes Hello Baby stamp set with Memento ink onto white cardstock, die cut it with a Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs die and layered it onto pink cardstock die cut with a Spellbinders Standard Circle die and added this to the background.  Then I stamped the baby suit onto blending card and again onto paper from the With Love paper pack (Papermania).  Then I stamped the booties onto blending card and then twice onto the same patterned paper making sure each bootie had the hearts going in the same direction.  I coloured the ribbed bands and the inside of the baby suit on the blending card and also the inside of the booties.  Then I cut out the suit from the paper omitting the bands and the inside and also each of the booties omitting the insides.  I adhered the paper pieces onto the blending card pieces (I found a glue stick is ideal for this!) and added them to the background with foam tape.  Finally I added two tiny pearls for the bootie "buttons".

Copic Colours used were: B0000, RV52, RV55.
