Let It Shine!
This weeks Timeless Tuesday challenge calls for glitter and shine. Well, glitter is a little outside my comfort zone, so I chose the "shine" element. Firstly, I die cut a piece of rose red cardstock with a Spellbinders Floral Flourishes die and covered it with Crystal Effects (S tampin' Up!). I chose papers from Bouquet DSP (HeidiGrace) and the stamps from Flourishes Orchids stamp set. I masked off part of the image, stamped it with Memento ink onto blending card, coloured it with Copics and die cut it with Spellbinders Classic Ovals. I layered that onto pink cardstock die cut with Lacey Ovals. The sentiment was stamped with Versacolor Peony and punched with a 1 1/4" circle punch and layered onto pink cardstock. The image piece and sentiment piece were added then with foam tape. I did use clear Atyou Spica for some extra shimmer on the flower petals but that is very hard to see in the photo.
Copic Colours used were: RV63, RV66, Y13, Y21, YR24, G82, G85.

Happy Birthday, Jan Marie
Happy Birthday, Jan Marie Caruso! May your special day be filled with joy, love and laughter, and may the coming year bring many blessings your way.
I met Jan Marie and Mike during their visit to Australia last year, and I found Jan Marie to be not only the creator and owner of my favourite stamp company, but a delightful, warm, caring, smart, funny, generous person who is always willing to give praise, encouragement and.......a hug!
I wanted to make a special card to honour the Birthday of this special Friend, so I decided on a fancy-edged card made with Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8. The papers are from Prima's Meadowlark Collection and the image is from Flourishes Bloomin' Aussie Florals stamp set (an obvious choice for this Aussie girl!) I stamped the image with Memento ink onto blending card, coloured it with Copics, cut it out and mounted it with foam tape onto paper cut out with Flourishes Victorian Oval Template Dies. The sentiment is from Flourishes Tag Lines and I finished off with pearls in the corners.
Copic Colours used were: RV00, RV02, RV04, YG13, YG17, YG67, Y21, Y35.

Seeing Red!
This is the card I've made for this weeks Timeless Tuesday challenge which calls for a RED theme. I chose this image from Flourishes "Garden Picks" stamp set because I thought I could incorporate plenty of red with it! I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It blending card, coloured it with copics, and die cut it with Spellbinders Classic Ovals. The papers are from Bella Rose DSP from Stampin' Up! (an oldie but a goodie!). I punched the bottom of the background paper with Doiley Lace Border Punch (Martha Stewart) and layered it onto Cherry Cobler cardstock (SU), topped that with the check paper cut with a Labels Four and added the image with foam tape. The sentiment is also from Garden Picks, made into a tag and topped with a dark red grosgrain ribbon bow. I added some more of the ribbon above the punched border and my red card was finished!
Copic Colours used were: R35, R37, R89, YG61, YG63, YG67.

Hearts 'n' Flowers
I made this card today for this weeks Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge which requires a heart theme. Well, I don't own any Flourishes heart stamps OR any heart shaped dies (gasp! How did that happen?!) so I decided to make my own by cutting a heart shape from a piece of white card embossed with a Sizzix EF and layering it onto some pink cardstock. I used Flourishes Inside & Out Just Because sentiment set and stamped directly onto the background papers which are from Kaisercrafts's Pink Gelato 6 x 6 paper pad. I then covered the join in the papers with white satin ribbon, found a couple of pearl heart shaped beads and threaded them onto some sparkly ribbon thread and covered the ends with a bow. Then I added white card die cut with Spellbinders Floral Doiley Motifs, and adhered my hand made heart over the top. I then stamped the small image from Flourishes Hydrangeas stamp set, coloured it with copics, cut it out and adhered it with foam tape. Some white pearls added to opposite corners and my "heart" card was finished!
Copic Colours used were: RV000, RV00, RV02, G40, G43.

Irises
I made this card for Flourishes Pick One challenge. I chose the first sketch, the second colour combo, and the first embellishment selection. The papers are from Papermania's Capsule Collection (blue and white) and Henbury Lane Collection (aqua and white), layering both onto teal cardstock. The lace was given to me by a friend and came in handy for this project. The image is from Flourishes Calendar Set 2 and was coloured with copics and die cut with Spellbinders classic ovals and layered onto another oval cut from the teal cardstock. The sentiment is from Flourishes Tiny Flowers and Tags set (because it had to be TINY) and was stamped with Versacolor Turquoise ink onto white card, cut into a notched tag and layered onto a scrap of dark blue cardstock. Three teal pearls from Kaisercraft at the top left and my challenge card was done!
Copic Colours used were: B21, B24, B26, Y11, Y15, YG13, YG17.

A Birdie Birthday
I made this card for this weeks Timeless Tuesday challenge which is a Sketch Challenge. Well, you gotta love a sketch challenge. Half the work is already done and it's just a matter of filling in the gaps! The first gap I decided to fill was an oval, so naturally I reached for my favourite floral oval die. The birdie image from Flourishes Spring Has Sprung set fits beautifully in this oval so I stamped and coloured this with copics. The papers are from the Meadow Lark 6 x 6 paper pad from Prima (so appropriate for the birdie!) I used the smallest die from Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 set for the sentiment which is a favourite from Stampin' Up! - from the Vintage Labels stamp set. Added a ribbon for that element of the sketch and it was done!
Copic Colours used were: B000, B00, B02, RV52, RV55, G00, G03
Thanks so much for having a look!
