Country Christmas

The challenge this week at Timeless Tuesday is to use Canvas or Burlap.  Well, I went searching through my craft room (not a job for the faint-hearted!) and finally found a bag of Christmas embellishment containing - Aha! - a piece of red and a piece of green Burlap - generally called Hessian here in Australia.  I started my card with paper from Christmas Basics DSP (Crafter's Choice) and layered it onto dark green cardstock.  I fringed the edges of a rectangle of green hessian and added it to the background and anchored the corners with large white brads.  Next, I made the frame by die cutting red cardstock with two Spellbinders Labels 18 dies and adhered that to the hessian.  I stamped the sentiment from Flourishes Christmas Classics stamp set with red ink onto white cardstock, cut it out and added it at the bottom of the frame.  Then I stamped the image (also from Christmas Classics stamp set) with Memento ink onto blending card, coloured it with copics, cut it out and added it to the frame with foam tape.

Copic Colours used were:  R22, R24, R27, R89, Y21, Y35, Y38, V04, V12, G20, G24, G28, G40, G43, G82.

Thanks so much for visiting!
