Rustic Thank You

I made this card for this weeks Timeless Tuesday challenge.  Ally asked us to use items found around the house.  Well, I really had to use my thinking cap for this one!!  In the end, I used a paper clip from my desk, string from the kitchen and part of a cardboard box (I stole that idea from my daughter - Thanks, Honey!)  So, as I was going rustic (but not rusty!) I chose my background paper from The Basecoat Collection (Kaisercraft) and layered it onto cocoa cardstock.  The sentiment is from Flourishes Sweet Violets stamp set because I wanted a plain upper case font.  I stamped it with Memento Rich Cocoa and layered onto the cocoa cardstock.  The image is from Country Road Stamp set (Flourishes), stamped with Memento ink onto blending card, coloured with copics and die cut with a Spellbinders Classic Oval.  Put the whole lot together and that's it.

Copic Colours used were:  B0000, Y000, G20, R89(diluted with 0 - blender).

Thanks so much for coming to visit!

  2. Very Cool!!! Love how you've gone 'outside the box' and created your corrugated background! The paper clip and string are also fabby embellishments for this challenge!! :)

  3. What a fabulous card. Love the country look and your background paper. This would be an awesome card for a gentleman...or is it gentlemen? Anyway hope you are all well "down under" there in Aussie land. Pat
